In the exhibition ‘Stimulus Package’ at Kopeikin Gallery, Lizabeth Eva Rossof uses Braille as a metaphor to create work that explores the inability to discern the truth from fiction in American politics, economics and sexuality. Using a variety of mediums including C-Prints, collage, performance, video, and drawing, Rossof addresses the confusion felt in American society in the wake of eight years of receiving misguiding information from those in power. “There is a fine line between commenting on a (political) situation through art and making work that is either too obvious or overly didactic. Lizabeth Eva Rossof’s work is a refreshing example of mastering this tricky territory."
